Turkish Airlines Celebrates its 50th anniversary of service to CPH

In April 2023 Turkish Airlines celebrated its 50th anniversary operating at Copenhagen Airport. The anniversary was celebrated before the departure of TK1782 to Istanbul, with authentic traditional Turkish dishes, cakes, and beverages. The day was marked with speeches from the Turkish Ambassador to Denmark, Rıza Hakan Tekin, Turkish Airlines’ Country Manager, Mehmet Can Taşcı, and Copenhagen Airport CEO Thomas Woldbye.

A lot had happened since the first flight in 1973, which was operated with a Boeing 707 via Vienna. Since then Turkish Airlines have expanded its pressence at CPH and are now operating up to 4 daily flights between Copenhagen and Istanbul with a mix of Boeing 737's and Airbus A320/A321 aircraft.

We congratulate Turkish Airlines on its 50 years of operations at Copenhagen Airport, and we look forward to continuing the close corporation in the future.
