How to travel with a baby through the airport
Whether it's your first trip or you've done it before, most parents can feel a bit anxious at the thought of navigating the airport and getting on the plane with hands full of a baby, diaper bags, strollers, and carry-on luggage.
That's why we've created a guide for you, so both big and little passengers can take off from Copenhagen Airport with peace of mind.
More Practical Travel Tips for Babies
- Arrive in Advance: As there can be a lot to manage when traveling through the airport with small children, we recommend arriving 2-3 hours before departure. This allows ample time for unexpected situations and provides a more relaxed travel experience.
- Parking Tip: If you have booked parking, we suggest that one parent, along with the baby, luggage, strollers, etc., be dropped off at the Kiss & Fly area in front of Terminal 2. Only one family member should then proceed to park the car in the designated parking area. This avoids taking up too much space in terminal buses and simplifies the transportation of all luggage. The same tip applies when you retrieve your car on the return journey.
- SAS Customer Family Lounge: Remember that SAS travelers with Business or Plus class tickets have access to the SAS family lounge, which features toys and children's television for kids of all ages. Children aged 0-2 years enter for free, and entrance can also be purchased by non-members.
- Baby-Friendly Products: The airport offers a wide range of products suitable for small children, such as Mums, Rudolph Care, Ecooking, La-Roche Posay, and more. Look for the "Nordic Skin Care" area in the large TAX FREE shop after passing through security.
- Changing Facilities: In addition to the babylounge, there are changing facilities available in many of the airport's restrooms. Look for the icons below:
