Transfer passengers at Copenhagen Airport
If Copenhagen Airport is not your final destination but a layover on your journey, you are traveling as a transfer passenger.
When you land at Copenhagen Airport as a transfer passenger, the signs will automatically guide you to other flight connections. All gates are under the same roof, which means you can easily walk from gate to gate.

Am I automatically checked in for all my flights?
If you have purchased a unified journey:
If you have booked your journey as a whole, with one or more layovers using the same airline, you are generally checked in for the entire journey and will automatically receive your boarding passes along the way.
If you have purchased separate flight tickets:
If you have booked your flight tickets independently and are flying with different airlines, you are usually not checked in for the entire journey to your final destination. Therefore, you need to check in yourself to obtain your boarding pass for your next flight.
If in doubt, we always recommend that you inquire directly with your airline before departure.

If you arrive on a flight from a non-EU or non-Schengen country, you must go through security to continue your journey. If you arrive on a flight from an EU or Schengen country, there is no need to pass through security again.
If you have purchased liquids over 100 ml in other airports or on board the flight, these liquids must be sealed in a STEB bag (Security Tamper Evident Bag), which you can obtain where you purchase the products. The receipt for the liquids must be visible in the bag.
Please note: These rules apply at Copenhagen Airport, and there may be different rules in other airports.

If you have booked your tickets independently of each other, you and your baggage may not be checked in all the way to your final destination. Therefore, it may be necessary for you to pick up your baggage and check in for your next flight.
Note: Allow sufficient time for this, as you will need to collect your baggage at the baggage claim, check in again, pass through security control, and possibly passport control before you can catch your next flight.
If in doubt, ask the staff when purchasing your ticket, your airline, or at the airport check-in.
